Area map

Mission: to support the conservation and rehabilitation of Groenkloof Nature Reserve, Klapperkop Nature Reserve and the surrounding green areas, and promote the conservation and sustainable utilisation (including low impact recreational activities) of the area.

These green areas are 3-5km south of the Central Business District of Pretoria, City of Tshwane, South Africa.

Our main objective for 2005-2009 was the conversion of Klapperkop to a nature reserve, to fence the area in with a 2,4m high game fence, to build game grids on Johann Rissik drive, to re-establish plants, game and other wildlife, and facilitate hiking and cycling trails and other low impact recreational activities.

Click here for more historic info about the original 2005-2009 Klapperkop project planning.
